Plenty : Eating Locally on a 100 Mile Diet

Plenty: Eating Locally on the 100-Mile Diet

Price: $11.04

What I Say:
This is a very interesting and inspiring book. It tells the story of a couple that chose to eat only food grown within 100 miles of them for a year. It chronicles not only their culinary journey, but also the impact that it has on their relationship. It also talks a lot about the pros for eating locally grown food, and the impact importation has on the world.

What Others Say:
I read Plenty the year it was first published. The copy I bought this time is for a member of my family. This book was so great, I read it to my husband aloud in the car on a trip we took. It is chock full of information we all should know about the food we eat and at the same time, never boring. It is one of the most reader-friendly books I've read in my entire life and it actually "sucked me in".

Double Spoon Rest

Double Spoon Rest

Price: $14.10

What I Say:
Keeping what spoons are being used for what item while I'm cooking is an absolute nightmare. This product is great. It goes well in any kitchen, it olds two spoons without making a giant mess of your countertop, and it's stable and easy. A great little item for any kitchen!

What Others Say:
love this spoon rest. It keeps my stove/counter top clean, it holds most utensils upright keeping them with easy reach, it catches drips which no longer get on the handle, it's easy to clean, and it is quite nice looking. I hate when kitchen gadgets clutter the kitchen, but this really looks nice and somehow even dresses up the kitchen. My husband thought it was much more expensive than it is.

Firefly Complete Series

Firefly - The Complete Series

Price: $22.39

What I Say:
This is honestly one of the best television series ever created. It's smart, funny, engaging, action packed, and creates a fascinating universe. It's one of the greatest shames that this series was canceled before it was completed. It's gained a huge cult following for good reason.

What Others Say:
I'd never heard of this show until I noticed the customer reviews while browsing through Amazon.com ... The response was so overwhelming that I HAD to check it out. It is without a doubt the best series I've ever seen. I was completely absorbed by the stories and characters, and watched the entire series in one sitting - I just couldn't stop.

JayBird Bluetooth Wire Headphones

JayBird Bluetooth Wireless Headphones

Price: $89.00

What I Say:

How handy is it to not have to deal with wires? These are secure, comfortable, and have excellent sound quality. They are convenient and pretty reasonably price for higher end headphones.

What Others Say:

Great headphones, the bluetooth works really well. I bought some bluetooth headphones a couple of years ago and they dropped out all the time, that put me off bluetooth headphones for a long time. Thankfully all the reviews about these headphones were correct, they work flawlessly, I hardly every get any break ups with the audio and the sound quality is excellent.

Makita Drill-Driver

Makita 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2-Inch Driver-Drill Kit

Price: $219.99

What I Say:
I don't normally post the more expensive items, but this one is definitely worth mentioning. If you're a handy person at all, if you work in a trade that requires tools, or if you wish to do things around your own house, this is definitely something you should own. This drill is lightweight and small. It fits in anyones hands, it isn't heavy so you don't have to spend too much of your strength holding it. It is powerful and you can get it into tiny spaces. It's battery life is excellent. As a former carpenter, I've used many other tools. This is the only one I've bought.

What Others Say:
The BDF452HW is super light, easy to handle and has good power. The batteries are physically small, but still pack 18 volts. The L/I batteries have a very flat run-time curve...they stay full power until right at the end of the charge. They recharge in 15 minutes (for real). Makita seems to have capitalized on the advantages of new battery technology and combined it with a well built, smooth, advanced tool.
