World War Z by Max Brooks
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
Price : $6.99
What I Say:
This is honestly one of the most compelling books I have read this year. It is written as an oral history of the world after the turning point. It recounts many stories of what happened during the Zombie War, and it does so in a way that keeps you turning page after page as fast as you can. If the world were to be taken over by zombies, I believe that it is likely it'll happen the way Max Brooks suggests.
What Others Say:
The fascinating book could have been easily expanded over 1000 pages or a series, but efficiently covers the rumors of infection, the eventual spread across the globe, and the sacrifices of surviving the battle against the growing horde. The entire dynamic of the zombie existence, the merits of extreme cold or hazards of the ocean, is superb. The storyline truly captures a struggling spirit against a mindless and unconventional foe.
